1. Introduction
Welcome to Momentum Mouse. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy informs you about how we handle your information when you use our application.
2. Data Collection & Usage
Momentum Mouse is primarily a local-only utility. We do not collect, store, or transmit any sensitive personal data to external servers. All core data processing occurs locally on your devices.
- Sensor Data: Accelerometer and gyroscope data are used locally to calculate mouse movements in real-time.
- Network Data: Connection info is used only to establish a direct link between your device and PC.
3. Permissions
The application requires the following permissions to function:
- Local Network/WiFi: To communicate with the PC server over your local network.
- Bluetooth: Used if you choose to connect via Bluetooth RFCOMM.
- Camera: Only used locally to scan QR codes for quick connection setup.
4. Third-Party Services
The app does not share your data with third-party advertisers or data brokers. It is distributed through the Google Play Store, which may collect standard telemetry as governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
This website is separate, and does use advertising measurement — see the next section.
5. Cookies and Advertising on This Website
This website uses two measurement tools. They are not the same and are not treated the same way.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics — counts page views and referrers. It sets no cookies, collects no personal data, and does not follow you to other sites. It runs for every visitor.
- Meta Pixel — tells Meta (Facebook and Instagram) that a browser visited this site or reached the signup confirmation page, so we can measure whether our ads work and show ads to people who have visited before. It sets cookies and shares data with Meta, governed by Meta's Privacy Policy.
If you are in the UK, EU, EEA or Switzerland, the Meta Pixel does not load at all unless you choose "Accept" on the banner shown on your first visit. Choose "Decline" and it is never loaded. Your choice is stored in your own browser, and you can change it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings, which will show the banner again on your next visit.
Elsewhere, including the United States, the Meta Pixel loads on arrival. If you would prefer it did not, most browsers can block third-party cookies and trackers, and Meta offers ad controls in your account settings.
Declining changes nothing about the site's function — nothing on this site is gated behind accepting.
